The Problem

Here's where I'm supposed to tell you a shocking analytic about how media doesn't reflect my everyday life in a way I see myself in. However, I have been seeing more and more content where I can see myself but, a LOT of this content is getting cancelled before it's even begun!

Once again I'm supposed to cite all of the emotionally triggering examples I can find to push you into an impulse response but, that's where the problem starts.

Selling people a Quick Fix Solution that doesn't exist!

Market fit is NOT something you can calculate without having lived in that culture. Marc Andreessen defined the term as follows: “Product/market fit means being in a good market with a product that can satisfy that market." The issue comes from hiring marketing professionals who have to ask or guess what that market wants as opposed to actually supporting the existing talent within the market.

This is where Influencer Marketing has found a place but, many influencers are NOT trained business professionals. They are usually just very passionate people who know what their crowd likes to talk about, is looking for or needs. This is where companies like IZEA, build on a marketplace model, come into play.

Why Content Marketing?

Content marketing has become a popular way for businesses to reach and engage their target audience.

These days people do not like having their privacy invaded. However, they do want to feel connected to the world and what's going on around them. By providing audience members with useful content to educate them on what's happening and how your products and services effectively solve pain points and challenges they may be facing — you can increase conversions, improve brand awareness, boost revenue, and more.

What is Evergreen Content?

Evergreen content is content that doesn’t go out of date. It revolves around a topic that’s always relevant to readers, regardless of the current news cycle or season. Its name comes from the evergreen—a plant that retains its green leaves all year round.

That makes sense. But if you take a closer look at that definition, you’ll notice that it talks about two different things:

Content and topics.

This is an important distinction that most articles about evergreen content fail to mention.
